Cosimo Gentili

Cosimo Gentili is an Italian-Dutch saxophonist, composer, and educator based in Rotterdam. He moved to the Netherlands in 2017 to study at Codarts, where he took lessons with artists such as Tineke Postma and Benjamin Herman, and briefly in ESMUC (Barcelona) with saxophonist Gorka Benitez.
Since his graduation in 2021, Gentili has been active in the scene in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Italy with various collaborations such as Plankton Orchestra ft. Yamandu Costa and the Conservatorium Talent Award ft. Jazz Orchestra of Concertgebouw.
Also, Gentili has been active as co-leader in various ensembles such as Su Nichel (Deeds of A Rascal, 2025), Vetro and Linea Generale (Linea Generale ft. Paolo Fresu, 2026).
Since 2025 Gentili is also fixed member of maltese queer-led project Ħoss Project and in February 2026 they recorded their debut album, planing to be released in the second half of the year.
