Oriol Marès

Oriol Marès & Talal Fayad Quartet fuse clarinet and Arabic oud into a contemporary Global Jazz sound bridging together Arab modal traditions, Latin polyrhythms, and jazz improvisation. After taking part in the International Residency program at La Marfà, they have performed in Spain, France, Italy, and the Netherlands, including Fira Mediterrània, MENA Festival Groningen, VOCE Còrsega, and Het Concertgebouw.
The quartet was a project-in-residence at the CNCM VOCE Corsica, within the Rawabet programme coordinated by Ettijahat. With Lucas Zegrí (drums) and Thodoris Ziarkas (double bass), they released their debut album Estuarium, featured in the WMCE Charts and selected among the Best 2025 Iberian Roots Albums by LIMÚR. They will be in on tour in China and South Korea, invited as jazz headliners at ClarinetFest26, the biggest event for the instrument worldwide. They are working on their new project Uncivilized, and a collaboration with Grammy-nominated filmmaker Flavia Moraes, scheduled for 2026–27.
