Tony Roe is celebrated for his innovative approach to music. As the bandleader of Tin Men and the Telephone, he has pushed the boundaries of traditional performance by integrating technology, multimedia, and audience interaction into his concerts. This unique approach has earned him international acclaim, captivating audiences worldwide.
Tony won the Boy Edgar Prize 2024, the most prestigious Dutch jazz and improvised music award.

An accomplished solo artist and sought-after collaborator, Roe recently developed “Modular Piano,” combining modular synths and interactive visuals with acoustic piano for a unique audio-visual experience. The new show It’s About Time by Tin Men and the Telephone using live cameras and projections to manipulate the perception of time.
Roe regularly plays with diverse artists and ensembles, including Nai Barghouti, Vernon Chatlein, NBE and Ben van Gelder. Besides performances, Tony inspires students through workshops at conservatories and school concerts, fostering the next generation of musicians.
