Ronny deCarlo is the moniker of Colombian/Dutch guitarist Roenik Roa Espinosa, who strives for a new sound that fuses his guitar with the sounddesign of Hip Hop, EDM and music for films and videogames.

In his idiosyncratic compositions you can hear influences from Funk, 00’s boom bap, Nu-Metal, Ennio Morricone’s Spaghettiwestern soundtracks and Bryson Tiller’s Trapsoul.

In 2023 Ronny deCarlo won ‘The Records’, a competition by the Keep an Eye Foundation that enabled Ronny to record his debut album ‘Fonque Nouveau’ and promote it on a 2024 tour through Dutch jazz venues and festivals.
