Henrique Gomide

Henrique Gomideis a key figure in the Brazilian jazz scene in Europe, known for his work with Caixa Cubo and collaborations with Toninho Horta, Yamandu Costa and Guinga. His trio Caixa Cubo has become a regular presence on Europe’s main jazz stages and has been featured in “best of the year” lists by BBC, Bandcamp and Gilles Peterson.

Gomide is known for an elastic musical language that moves between classical music, Brazilian rhythms and contemporary jazz. This can be heard in his solo album Portais, as well as in his recent project AMARÉ, a Brazilian chamber-jazz trio with Céline Rudolph and João Luis Nogueira, selected among the Best Albums of 2025 by BR-Klassik. He also maintains an ongoing duo collaboration with Dutch bassist Jasper Somsen.

All three projects were released by Challenge Records.
