Hermine Deurloo

Hermine Deurloo of Amsterdam is an internationally known jazz chromatic harmonica player, but her musical tastes and activities are broad ranging and take the harmonica into a wide variety of novel and unusual contexts, including modern jazz, string quartets, big bands, African music, and film soundtracks.
Her style on the chromatic harmonica is characterized as being rich, lyrical, and melodic, combined with effortless fluency.
Over the years, she has performed with a wide range of jazz musicians and orchestras, such as the Metropole Orchestra, The Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw and The Brussels Jazz Orchestra, while her latest album includes drummer Steve Gadd.
In 2025 Hermine will be giving concerts with Gwilym Simcock & Mike Walker, Anton Goudsmit, Erik Verwey Trio and the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw.
