Nils Fischer is driven by music that hits the soul and brings pure joy.
As the leader of CaboCubaJazz, Timbazo, and Nueva Manteca, he has performed at prestigious festivals like North Sea Jazz, Havana Jazz, Barranquijazz, Borneo Jazz, Kriol Jazz, and Bahrain Jazz, with tours across Canada, Israel, Colombia, Asia, and Europe. Nils has appeared on over 60 albums and produced 7 of his own, collaborating with top artists and earning critical acclaim. His latest album with Timbazo features Paquito D’Rivera, Alexander Abreu and Issac Delgado. Nils has shared the stage with legends such as Pío Leiva, Bonga, Chuchito Valdés, Armando Peraza, Michel Camilo, Claudio Roditi, and Chocolate Armenteros. Since 2018, he has led the Latin American Music Department at Codarts (Rotterdam’s Conservatory), where he inspires the next generation of musicians.
