Nizar Rohana
Nizar Rohana is a highly regarded Palestinian Oud player, celebrated for blending virtuosity with contemporary compositions while remaining true to the instrument’s traditional Arabic sound.
For over two decades, Rohana has performed on prestigious stages and at festivals around the world. His extensive experience as both a soloist and ensemble member spans modal, improvisational, experimental, and modern music.
Leading his trio, which includes renowned Dutch double bassist Tony Overwater and German percussionist Ruven Ruppik, Rohana presents a distinctive repertoire that merges Arabic and Middle Eastern traditions with influences from jazz, Western classical music, and more. The trio is currently working on a new album, set for release in the spring of 2026.
- I am seeking to connect with programmers, venues, and festivals to explore concert opportunities for the trio. Additionally, I’m looking to reach out to booking agencies, managers, promoters, and fellow artists for potential collaborations on future projects.
