Pablo Rodríguez González
With one foot in Spain and the other in the Netherlands, Canarian violinist Pablo Rodríguez represents a thrilling new generation of string players. Influenced by jazz, flamenco, classical, and world music, he has performed at prestigious venues and festivals across Europe, Brazil, and Turkey, sharing the stage with artists like Jorge Pardo, Tim Kliphuis, Trio Da Kali, Lilian Vieira and more. In 2019, he won the Best Soloist Award at the Canaries Jazz Showroom.
Currently, Pablo divides his time among various projects in Europe. He is a founding member of the Dutch North Sea String Quartet, forms a duo with Cuban pianist HUMBE, and plays in the Brainteaser Orchestra led by Tijn Wybenga. Beyond performing, he teaches improvisation workshops for classical string players and runs the annual Academy for Improvising Strings Junior Editie, a camp for young string players exploring modern styles and improvisation.
