Pete Galea
Drummer/composer/educator
Pete Galea (they/them) is a Rotterdam-based drummer, composer and educator creating music on the cusp of rhythmic interplay, textural exploration and improvisation.
Having been involved with the music scenes in Malta, London and the Netherlands over the past 15 years Pete has formed valuable connections and built an extensive network of collaborators across multiple genres and disciplines.
Currently Pete leads their jazz fusion group Ħoss Project: a multi-cultural, multi- gendered quartet playing original compositions brimming with odd-time grooves and modern sound palettes. Having just recorded their debut album in early 2026, Pete is working to bring Ħoss Project to new stages across Europe, aiming for an exciting album and documentary release towards the end of 2026!
Pete also graduated First-Class BMus(Hons) Professional Music Performance in 2017 from ACM, Guildford, and has also studied with artists including: Massimo de Majo, Claus Hessler, Dom Famularo, Pete Riley and many others.
