Peter Willems
bassist and vocalist
Peter is a bassist and vocalist. He has played at several festivals including the North Sea Jazz festival, Music Meeting, and So What’s Next. He won the 1st prize at prize at the Maastricht Jazz Awards in 2023, the Conservatory Talent Awards in 2022 and the second prize at the Princess Christina competition in 2019, “Star potential; that’s the word that sticks when the dust settles from his performance…” – Jury of the Christina Competition. He has recorded a number of albums including the album “DOUBLE DARE” with Grammy nominated American guitarist Gary Lucas, known for his work with Jeff Buckley and Captain Beefheart. DOUBLE DARE is available on CD and VINYL thanks to the label ‘ZenneZ Records’.
